I am officially done with school. Well, I was officially done when I left on Friday, but this is my first non-school day. On Friday, I drove to Nicholasville, Kentucky (just outside of Lexington) to visit my friends, Kendra and Molly, their husbands, and their babies. It was a looooong trip - 4 hours to be exact one one way. It will be awhile before I trek down there - no offense to my friends because I had a good time. The other option would be to stay longer if I go. I ate a corn dog at Sonic when I got there. Well, I actually ate 2 corn dogs. The lady gave me one and then came out a few minutes later and said they had done my order twice - score! I love crunchy corn dogs!
On Sunday, the youth invited the parents to worship with them in the Awakening service. I thought it went really well. Right after we had a bbq to get to know parents and parents to get to know the youth helpers. It was very low-key and enjoyable.
Jeremy has been working, working, working on school presentation stuff. The presentation is today at 5:30pm. Hopefully, it goes well. It will mark the end of classes and the honor of receiving his professional certification in GIS. I am proud of all his work and time he has put into that. He will move on to .... that is the big question. There is the possibility of pizza delivery man for the summer while still on the job hunt. Please keep that in your prayers.
I am doing nothing this summer... unless someone really wants to hire a part-time employee to work from June 30th - August 15th. Pretty sure that I will not be a prime candidate. I really only applied at Target, so my effort has not been great. Today, I went to the gym, need to fold clothes, should grocery shop, and ... read or watch movies. Later this week, I did sign up for some professional development at school, so that will keep me moving. I usually feel elated and bored for the first week or so. Then, I find my rhythm of doing nothing, but not being bored for about a month. Then, I start getting bored, but dreading school. I should work on lesson plans for next year. We'll see when I start feeling motivated for that :) Well, that's it. I hope everyone has a great day.
