Fair Week was in early September; it is mid-October. Don’t judge. To be fair, I have decided to provide a little structure and routine to my days. I hope this will help me feel a little more focused and accomplished. I think sometimes I just seem to floating as a mom without a specific purpose except surviving until naptime/bedtime/kids are not in my care time. It is really not how I want to live life. So, I am going to try a little different system. On Mondays, during nap time, I am going to try to update the blog. All four of you who are avid followers will now know when to expect a blog – I am sure there will be a missed Monday (or two). But there might also be an extra blog during the week once and awhile. Right now, I am just trying to catch up from my month long hiatus. Here goes….
The girls love the fair. They love the animals, the food, and now they are starting to like the rides! We parked in the big lot this year and took the shuttle in. They enjoyed this tractor ride to the gate. Ellie was pretty nervous going there, but rode on the outside on the way back.
We met up with Grandma and Grandpa Yoh (who basically live at the fair to run the admission gates this week). They had found a replacement for them so they could hang out with us! We started with looking at some of the animals. Then, moved on to eating. Corn dog for Madison; hot dog for Ellie. Finally, the rides!!! They each picked three rides. The Batmobile together
Ellie did the Apple Worm (just like Madison did last year)
Madison chose the Medic Helicopter. She was, literally, the only one on the whole ride!
Ellie chose the Cars for her final ride.
Madison chose the roller coaster for her final ride. This was a big debate. She wanted to do another ride with Ellie, but we convinced her she would have A LOT more fun on the roller coaster. We were right.
and then got a bonus Ferris wheel ride with Grandma!
We will continue to go as a family tradition. Jeremy and I don’t complain about the food either. :)
