We were all there by Sunday.
Hang out time included Mexican train dominoes (just one night),
some exercise sessions – sometimes me in the morning with one or two others, sometimes people walking in the heat, sometimes a dance party with the nursing home participants on the couch!,
hot tub and pool time – flips and tricks included,
Top Gun Maverick movie night after hearing fighter jets in training while at Virginia Beach, making use of the kayaks, paddleboard, and waterway off the dock,
billiards,
talking, relaxing, and grabbing snacks from the snack table at the house.
Ocean time.
We even had a few days of passing the volleyball on the beach when our feet could tolerate the temperature of the sand! Most people did a little bit of everything, but some people were more likely found one place over the other:
“The Sun Tanners” –> getting tan awards went to Jen, Steph M., Chloe, Sophie, Landen, and Megan.
“The Boogie Boarders” –> always in the water awards went to Erin, Ellie, Madison, Lilli, Steph R., Luke; there were many who joined the crowd out here and caught the waves as well. Luke brought out the paddleboard a day or two and lots enjoyed the challenge of that in the waves. The surf boards even joined the ranks a day or two – a whole different challenge from a boogie board.
“The Shade Dwellers” –> staying pale awards went to Ben, Grandpa, Grandma, Jeremy
“The Roamers” –> never content in one place awards went to Cale, Sam, Paxon, Nate
