A Compilations of Happenings

May 18ish

Each year the school greenhouse has a plant sale.  It is a great fundraiser and a good outreach to the community.  Madison offered to help this year, and I also helped with the money taking.  She had a lot of fun setting up, cleaning up, helping customers shop for plants, and taking plants out to their cars.

Ellie was invited to a birthday party at Dave and Busters.  Somehow, the games sucked in Madison and (to be fair) Jeremy.  I was a reluctant bystander.  Not my favorite place, but it was fun watching them have so much fun.

The month of May

Finally, Ellie has started working with horses through a program called Stirrup Courage.  We chose this program because there is a therapy slant to it.  Ellie has gone through a lot with the adjustments to diabetes.  While she is doing an amazing job managing and accepting this, I think it is important to allow her some fun to explore something new – horses!. This past month she has been in the horse caring sessions.  These sessions teach her how to take care of the horses and horse safety.  She has enjoyed each session.  Next session, she will actually get to ride horses.

My absolute favorite picture so far…
