Concerts and the Ballet

The weeks of the performance arts….

April 28…

Ellie had her first (and only) choir concert of her fourth grade year.  This was a big one because it was with recorders!  Ellie had volunteered to be one of a small group that played a song; she went in multiple mornings early to practice during April.  While she did become frustrated at times since it didn’t come without practice, she did a really good job.  Before the concert:

Madison had two different concerts. 

May 17 - She had the band concert first…

         

May 19 - Then, she had the choir concert.

    

I really enjoy going to these and watching as all the grades perform on the same night.  It is neat to see how the kids progressively get better at what they do. 

We also went to support Madison’s friend, Gretta, and our neighbor, Anabelle, at the spring ballet performance.  The spring performance had a short Beauty and Beast ballet along with small stand alone ballets.  They did a wonderful job, and they were so excited to see Madison and Ellie afterwards.
