The Zoo

It was zoo day today.  We planned on meeting Jill and her kids at the zoo at 10:30am, and we would have made it, but...  Apparently, everyone else wanted to go to the zoo at 10:30am too.  I waited to get past the "pay for parking" area for 45 MINUTES!!!!!  It was unbelievable.  On top of that, I was almost out of gas but figured I could make it there - not if I had to sit in a line for 45 minutes.  So, I noticed I was sitting on a hill.  I turned my car off and rolled to the parking guys for the last 30 minutes of my sitting there.  Ridiculous.  By the time we got to where Jill was it was 11:30am, and her kids were ready to get home.  So, we chatted for five minutes and she left.  Madison and I went to see a few things, but the zoo is more fun with others and she was getting tired, too.  Ugh.  I guess it is good the zoo is getting so many visitors and people are out enjoying the weather and not holed up in their house.  I will just plan to go to the zoo at 9am or at noon because when I left at noon there was no line.  Here she is with the fish in the left picture and looking up, up, up at the fish swimming in the aquarium.
