Minneapolis Spring Break: Day 1

At Christmas, we were gifted with plane tickets to Minneapolis for spring break.  This was a blessing because we didn’t want to take the whole break with the travel time being there; Jason and Niki would have been working most of the time.  And we really wanted to go because there was a new addition to their family November 1, 2018 – Zadie!  Needless to say, we were excited to be going.

On Saturday, we woke up and left at 6:15am for the airport.  Everything went smoothly through security and on the plane.  We flew with Delta, and I decided they are one of the most generous airlines – free carry on luggage, delicious snack choices (cheez-its, kind bar, almonds, or something else), and they gave the girls extra stuff every time – oreos and butterfingers on the return trip, and a pair of wings to pin on their backpacks on the flight out.  So fun!

We got in around 11 and headed to meet Jen and Arturo (who also flew out) and Jason and Niki’s family at a well-known pizzeria.  It had fun plates and good pizza.

From there, we went to check Gloria into the hotel and dump our stuff in her room (our room wasn’t ready yet).  Then, we headed to Jason and Niki’s to just hang out.  We had a great time meeting Zadie that day and the days that followed…

Madison played some rough and tumble with the boys, which was pretty fun to watch.  She had to take her glasses off and unlayer a bit because she was working so hard giving horsey rides!

Here are just a series of pictures of hanging out.

We left after supper and went swimming in the hotel for a bit.  Between cousins and swimming pools, the girls were loving it!
